“I had hopes of moving to NYC to become a dancer. I had completed four semesters, but I was too immature at that point (to finish a degree program) and did not handle responsibility very well.

My son was born, and I knew I needed to get my degree. He was my inspiration to return to school.

I cannot ever regret returning to ECU and finding my place in the sociology department. I have been able to secure a stable career.”
